Kazkorp is proud to present a highly requested build – a midsize 4×4 pickup, gone through the Kazkorp way. Check out this gorgeous 2nd owner 2004 Chevrolet Colorado Redline Z71 4×4 Crew Cab automatic pickup truck. We got this vehicle from the second owner, and it has a spotless accident free carfax as shown. It is in EXCELLENT condition, with no rust anywhere to be found, and a like new interior. If you’ve done your research on these, you know they have a few problems that must be addressed, and address them we did.
For starters, the transmission was sent out to be rebuilt and strengthened with the latest 4L60E revisions from our friends at ATLAS transmissions ($2000 receipt included.) We then went through the second most problematic issue with these trucks – the frame. To prevent ANY issues from occurring to the next owner, we sent the truck to Brand S Auto Welding on Madison in Cleveland to have the frame completely went over, aligned properly, box channeled in, strengthened and undercoated with a lifetime undercoating. ($1500 receipt included)
Back at Kazkorp, we went through the engine, and replaced the timing chain assembly, water pump, ignition coils and plugs, alternator, compressor, give it a full tune up with air filter, fuel filter, oil change, replaced the oxygen sensors, front calipers, front rotors and pads, and much more. The vehicle has 157k miles on it, and while the previous owner had receipts for the timing work done at 90k, we figured it would be good insurance moving forward.
While this is a TRUE Z71 Colorado 4×4 with all the Z71 features such as painted fender flares, running boards, vent guards, automatic headlights, full power options, a bedliner, monotube shocks, urethane jounce bumpers, locking rear diff, and a three-inch raised suspension, we decided to give it some custom touches.
First we buffed the paint and applied a wax to really make the black look fantastic. Then we painted the wheels black, and installed 4x New Trail Guide 31×10.5×15 All Terrain Tires. We added some Redline accents including a red stripe around the wheels, installed 3x redline Colorado emblems, installed new Z71 emblems on the bedside, red front emblem, put on a shadow chrome Z71 4×4 emblem on the tailgate, tinted the windows, added a folding tonneau cover, picked up some black housing headlights with clear side markers, and added a Pioneer bluetooth Sirius XM streaming radio to really make this truck stand out.
All in all, you’ll be hard pressed to find another midsize 4×4 crew cab pickup that will come close to this, anywhere in this price range. With a rebuilt timing assembly and components, a fresh ATLAS rebuilt transmission, a like new reinforced boxed in frame and fresh undercoating, no rust, and like new interior, this Colorado Z71 4×4 is like buying a new truck for bottom dollar used market pricing!
